Choose from 27 phone and tablet presets, including iPhone 17, Galaxy S26 Ultra, Pixel 10 and iPad Pro. Each uses a fixed CSS viewport so media queries respond to the selected device width.
Click links, fill in forms, and scroll within the frame. Rotate to check landscape layouts, hide the frame, or go fullscreen. Fit to screen preserves the viewport while scaling the preview.
Check your navigation, content hierarchy, forms, and overflow at each screen size. Our guide walks through what to look for—and where a viewport preview ends and real-device testing begins.
Read the responsive testing guide ↗Yes. The preview is a live iframe, so ordinary links, scrolling, buttons, and forms work. Some features depend on the embedded site’s permissions, authentication, and browser restrictions.
Some sites block embedding through Content Security Policy or X-Frame-Options. Device Studio respects those restrictions. Open the website directly, or ask the site owner to allow your studio domain in the site’s frame-ancestors policy. HTTP pages may also be blocked when the studio is served over HTTPS.
No. Device Studio previews responsive viewport sizes in your current browser. It does not emulate Safari’s rendering engine, hardware, touch behavior, or device pixel ratio. Use physical devices or browser developer tools for those checks.
The tool is free to use without an account. Entered URLs stay in page memory and are sent directly to the website you load. Device Studio does not store a browsing history or send URLs to an application server. Embedded websites operate under their own privacy policies.
